IJEBU GARRI (White Cassava Flakes)
Our Premium Ijebu Garri is a traditionally fermented cassava product originating from the Ijebu region of Ogun State, Nigeria. Made from carefully selected cassava tubers (Manihot esculenta ), this white, crispy, granular flour undergoes a meticulous process of peeling, grating, fermentation (72 hours), dewatering, and dry-roasting ("frying") without palm oil. The result is a sour, slightly crisp staple with a distinctive sharp taste that sets it apart from other garri varieties. Ijebu Garri is prized for its extra sour flavor profile, achieved through extended fermentation, and its fine, uniform texture. It can be enjoyed cold as a snack soaked in water with sugar, milk, and groundnuts, or prepared as a hot stiff porridge (eba) served with traditional soups.
