DEHYDRATED COW MEAT

Our Premium Dehydrated Cow Meat is a traditional Nigerian dried beef product made from carefully selected lean cuts of beef that have been sliced, seasoned with traditional spices, and slowly dehydrated to preserve nutritional value and create long-term shelf stability. This product represents the Nigerian adaptation of jerky technology, optimized for local tastes and culinary applications.

Our beef dehydration process concentrates the natural protein content while retaining essential vitamins and minerals. The meat is sliced against the grain for tenderness, marinated in a blend of salt , pepper , spices , and traditional flavorings, then slowly dried at controlled temperatures to achieve the perfect balance of texture and preservation. The resulting product is a dark, firm, protein-dense meat that can be consumed as a snack or rehydrated for use in traditional Nigerian soups and stews. It is significantly lighter than fresh meat (approximately 1/4 the weight), making it economical for transport and storage.

Dehydrated beef provides an excellent source of protein with fewer calories than other protein sources—a 28g serving contains 8.7g protein with only 43 calories. This makes it ideal for weight management, athletic nutrition, and emergency food supplies.

Key Benefits: Exceptional protein density—81% of calories from protein. Rich in vitamin B12 (19% DV per serving) essential for nerve function and red blood cell formation. Complete amino acid profile including sulfur-containing amino acids (cysteine, methionine) absent in plant proteins. High in niacin and other B-vitamins for energy metabolism. Low in fat and calories compared to fresh beef. Long shelf life without refrigeration. Lightweight and portable—ideal for travel, camping, and emergency food supplies.

Storage Instructions

Store in airtight containers or vacuum-sealed bags in a cool, dry place

Shelf life: 12-24 months when properly stored; up to 2+ years with vacuum sealing and oxygen absorbers

Temperature: Room temperature (15-25°C) acceptable; refrigeration extends freshness but not necessary

Moisture critical: Must remain dry—moisture causes rapid spoilage and mold

Light protection: Store in dark place—light causes oxidation and quality degradation

Air exposure: Minimize contact with oxygen; vacuum sealing significantly extends shelf life

Container: Glass jars with tight lids, vacuum-sealed bags, or moisture-vapor-proof packaging

Signs of spoilage: Rancid or off-odors, mold growth, discoloration, or softening (should remain firm and dry)

Handling: Use clean, dry utensils to prevent contamination; reseal immediately after opening
